My 10 promises for 2018

Read:

I will manage at least 1 Hour to read new books in a day. If I read 1 chapter in a day, I can complete 15-20 books in 2018 which help me to improve my writing skills and increases my vocabulary. Following are others benefits of reading:

  • Memory improvement
  • Stronger Analytical Thinking Skills
  • Improve focus and concentration

Exercise:

Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship. Buddha

Exercise, yoga and meditation will help to become more healthy.

Good Health is the greatest blessing of life. Life is a weary burden to a person of broken health. The richest man with bad health always suffers and groans. He is unhappy in spite of his great wealth. Anonymous

I will do exercise, yoga and meditation in the morning every day. Exercise and yoga helps me to prevent from disease, improves stamina and improve quality of my life.

Meditation helps us to control our mind and thoughts and turn off our mind when we do not need it anymore.

Buddha was asked what have you gained from meditation? He Replied: “Nothing”. However Buddha said: “Let me tail you what I lost: Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Insecurity, Fear of old age and Death.”

Drink Water:

Drinking water helps maintain the balance of body fluids. Our body is composed of about more than 60% water. The function of these body fluids includes digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature.

I will maintain a habit to drink at least 3 liters of water to get more healthy. I will use application like SamSung Health to measure my water drink status.

Eat healthy food:

I will try to eat more healthy food. I will eat for stomach and body not for my tongue test. I will eat more fruits and will ignore junk food.

Smile:

Share your smile with the world. It’s a symbol of friendship and peace. Christie Brinkley

I will try to smile and make others to smile also.

Blame:

Don’t blame someone or something else, or make up an excuse. Don’t blame all the problems on a vendor, a programming language, management, or your coworkers. The Pragmatic Programmer

I will not blame other people, situation and anything for my failure.

Responsibility:

Provide Options, Don’t Make Lame Excuses. The Pragmatic Programmer

I will take responsibility of my own task.

Social Media:

I will spent less time in social media. I will not spent more than 15 minutes per day in social media.

Visit new place:

I will visit at least 5 new places that I never went before.

Retrospective:

I will do retrospective of my own achievement every month.
